Can’t We All Just Get Along?
There are some odd battles in the pop-culture world. After doing extensive research*, I was unable to find exactly why people square off pirates against ninjas and vampires against werewolves. Wikipedia says the Pirates vs. Ninjas battle is from an Internet meme of who would win in a fight. As for Vampires vs. Werewolves, I assume that comes from the group of Universal Studios monster movies.
But let’s be honest: these are arbitrary pairings. Keeping that in mind, I’ve come up with some other totally random battles that deserve to become pop-culture mainstays:
Ghosts vs. Shriners
Mastodons vs. Pilgrims
Lumberjacks vs. Dragons
Hobos vs. Alchemists
Centaurs vs. Willem Dafoe
